Student Visa

This category of visa is issued to non-immigrants who wish to stay in the country to attend languages courses, professional or technical courses at any University or College, or to take part in a practice related to their major field of studies. The visa is granted for one (1) year with multiple entries. It allows the bearer to stay in the country for up to the same period of time. The Ministry of the Interior and Justice may extend this period of time if duly requested by the applicant, who must present proof of continuation of studies. This visa does not allow the person to engage in any lucrative activity.

Requirements

  • A Passport valid for at least one (1) year.
  • Two recent front colour photographs, size 3 x 4.
  • Letter of admission issued by the educational institution where the student is enrolled or by the enterprise that will supervise his practice.
  • Academic degrees and/or attestations.
  • Letter of the institution that supports the student or statement of the funds available to the student in Venezuela. (If issued by a private person, the attestation must duly prove that the student has sufficient funds to sustain a stay in the country).
  • To fill up the visa application form.
  • Health certificate.
  • Once the requirements are verified by the Consular Section and the visa is approved then the applicant should deposit the equivalent to US $ 60 (sixty dollars) in the account of the Consular Section of the Embassy of Venezuela in the Danske Bank No.- 445-1411330, Reg. number 3001. It is important to stress that the person or company concerned should pay –additionally- the Bank’s fee for the transfer or deposit. If the transaction involves two Banks then please verify that both fees are included.

If you choose to process your certificate or other document by postal service, please include a self-stamped and self-addressed envelope. The Embassy recommends to use certified mail, and if is so, please send with the envelope the post office form “Postkvittering” duly complete to be able to return the document.

IMPORTANT:
The Embassy is not responsible for any loss of documents sent by ordinary post mail.

The average visa processing time will fluctuate between 4 days and 15 days, during which time the applicant’s passport has to remain with the Embassy.
