Venezuelan Family Member

This category of visa is issued to the spouse of a Venezuelan citizen (only if the marriage was celebrated in Venezuela or registered before the Venezuelan Consulate if celebrated in a foreign country), to economically dependent children under eighteen (18) years of age and to parents or parents in law, with the previous legal attestation of the family relationship. This type of visa is granted for one (1) year, multiple entries. Once in the country, the applicant may apply for a visa extension. For the purposes of this type of visa the family members must travel with the Venezuelan citizen when coming into the country.

Requirements

  • A Passport valid for at least one (1) year.
  • Two recent front colour photographs, size 3 x 4.
  • Marriage Certificate, duly registered before the Venezuelan Embassy or Consulate of the jurisdiction where the marriage was celebrated, Birth Certificate or legal attestation of the family relationship.
  • To fill up the visa application form.
  • Once the requirements are verified by the Consular Section and the visa is approved then the applicant should deposit the equivalent to US $ 60 (sixty dollars) in the account of the Consular Section of the Embassy of Venezuela in the Danske Bank No.- 445-1411330, Reg. number 3001. It is important to stress that the person or company concerned should pay –additionally- the Bank’s fee for the transfer or deposit. If the transaction involves two Banks then please verify that both fees are included.

If you choose to process your certificate or other document by postal service, please include a self-stamped and self-addressed envelope. The Embassy recommends to use certified mail, and if is so, please send with the envelope the post office form “Postkvittering” duly complete to be able to return the document.

IMPORTANT:
The Embassy is not responsible for any loss of documents sent by ordinary post mail.

The average visa processing time will fluctuate between 4 days and 15 days, during which time the applicant’s passport has to remain with the Embassy.
